The American grape has found in Piedmont one of the most suitable and receptive areas to develop. Due to its geographical location and the presence of hills and plains, Piedmont is a hospitable territory for this strong and resistant plant, which only needs good exposure to sunlight, which is never lacking here in Piedmont. Piedmont's wine-growing cultural landscapes represent the historical tradition of vine cultivation.

Production Area

Piedmont is a region that boasts no less than five UNESCO World Heritage sites. The vineyard-covered hillsides offer breathtaking views.
The hilly territories in the provinces of Cuneo, Novara and Vercelli are the most suitable areas for this crop.

Piedmont offers many areas that have a good number of clear, long-lasting days, mainly the Monregalese area, the Saluzzese area and the entire area at the foot of the Bisalta: the plants require many hours of light per day, especially during the vegetation period.

The strawberry grape of Piedmont does not require much water. The strawberry grape is a vine that has a vegetative and productive cycle that is hardly subject to the dangers of spring frosts. It is a vigorous plant that cannot grow in calcareous soil.

The evolution of the most recent period is to make this variety that has been managed for years on an amateur level, into a large-scale production in order to introduce the product to the national and European market.
